Collection: Spittle

Spittle began in Italy in the second half of the 1980s, founded by Simone Fringuelli and Massimo Currò. Its early catalogue centred on darkwave, EBM and experimental music, giving the label a clear place in that period’s underground.

After a long hiatus, Spittle resumed activity in 2006, bringing key titles back into circulation and widening its scope. Since then it has moved across punk, new wave, no-wave, gothic and experimental music, while also tracing lesser-mapped corners of Italian independent history through compilations such as 391 Vol. 1: Marche - Voyage Through the Deep 80s Underground in Italy and Milano Undiscovered - Early 80s Electronic Disco Experiments. That mix of archive work and broader underground curiosity still defines the label.
