Sting

Sting, born Gordon Sumner on October 2, 1951 in Wallsend, England, is a multi-talented artist known for his roles as a musician (bassist), composer, singer-songwriter, actor, author, and activist. In 1977, he formed the band The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The band achieved great success with five studio albums and received numerous awards including six Grammy Awards and two Brits. They were also inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
