Collection: Superior Viaduct

Superior Viaduct is a San Francisco archival label with a sharp ear for records that slipped out of view the first time around. Its catalogue makes the point clearly: punk and post-punk landmarks sit alongside experimental music, minimalism, dub and private-press outliers, with releases by artists including Flipper, Contortions, Glenn Branca, Philip Glass and Harold Budd.

Rather than treating reissues as museum pieces, Superior Viaduct has built its reputation on careful presentation and strong curation, bringing overlooked and hard-to-find work back into circulation. That range, from Buy and Generic Flipper to Music With Changing Parts, gives a good sense of the label's interests: adventurous records with lasting weight, chosen with specificity rather than nostalgia.
