Collection: The Methadones

The Methadones are a Punk/Pop Punk band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1993 by Dan Schafer (AKA Danny Vapid) as a side-project, the band didn't become active or begin recording until 1999. With their energetic sound and catchy melodies, they quickly gained popularity in the punk scene.

Throughout their career, The Methadones went through various lineup changes but always maintained their signature sound. Led by Dan Vapid on vocals and guitar, Sensitive Pete on guitar and bass, Pat Buckley on drums (in the early years), B-Face on bass (during a period), Mike Byrne on guitar (for most of their active years), Dan Lumley on drums (for a short time), Mike Soucy on drums (for several years), and Ken Fused joining later as guitarist.

Despite breaking up in 2010, The Methadones left behind an impressive discography that continues to resonate with fans today. Their music perfectly captures the spirit of punk while infusing it with pop sensibilities. Whether you're a die-hard fan or new to their music, The Methadones' songs will have you singing along and jumping around in no time.
