The Ronettes

The Ronettes were a girl group formed in New York in 1961 by sisters Estelle Bennett and Veronica (Ronnie) Bennett, along with their cousin Nedra Talley. Originally known as the Darling Sisters, they later became Ronnie and the Relatives before reinventing themselves as The Ronettes. Their iconic sound was closely associated with producer Phil Spector's 'wall of sound' production technique. The group's 1963 single "Be My Baby" had a significant influence on Brian Wilson and the sound of The Beach Boys. In 2007, The Ronettes were honored with induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
