Anna Calvi

Anna Calvi is a British singer, songwriter, and recording artist. Born on 24 September 1980 in Twickenham, London, England, UK. She gained recognition when legendary producer Brian Eno hailed her as "the best thing since Patti Smith." Anna released her self-titled album "Anna Calvi" in 2011 under the Domino label.

Throughout her career, Anna has received numerous accolades and nominations for her musical talent. She was nominated for the BBC Sound Of 2011 list, Mercury Music Awards in both 2011 and 2019, EBBA Awards in 2012, and BRIT Awards in 2012.

Prior to her solo success, Anna played with the band *Cheap Hotel* from 2006 to 2008. Her unique sound can be compared to artists such as Joan As Police Woman, Bat For Lashes, PJ Harvey, Charlotte Gainsbourg, John Grant and many more.
