Babymetal

Babymetal formed in Tokyo in 2010, first emerging from idol group Sakura Gakuin before becoming their own act in 2013. Their mix of J-pop and heavy metal gave shape to kawaii metal, carried from Babymetal through Metal Resistance, Metal Galaxy and The Other One. In 2023, Momoko Okazaki joined officially as Momometal.
