Bobby Brown

Robert Barisford "Bobby" Brown, born February 5, 1969, in Roxbury, Massachusetts, is an American R&B singer-songwriter, occasional rapper, and dancer. He began his solo career in 1987 after achieving success with pop group New Edition. Known for his fusion of hip hop and R&B music style called New Jack Swing, Brown's second album "Don't Be Cruel" produced chart-topping hits like "My Prerogative". He received a Grammy Award for his contributions to the music industry. Brown gained further recognition through the reality show Being Bobby Brown.

Brown was previously married to pop singer Whitney Houston and they had a daughter together named Bobbi Kristina Brown. They divorced in 2007 after separating in 2006. In addition to Bobbi Kristina, he has three sons (Landon Brown, Bobby Brown Jr., and Cassius Brown) and another daughter named La'Princia Brown. His cousin Andrea Brown is also a successful vocalist known for her club-oriented songs.

In 2012, Bobby Brown remarried Alicia Etheredge who also serves as his manager. As of 2014, he rejoined New Edition - a popular musical group he was part of earlier in his career.
