Kategorie: Bowling for Soup
Bowling For Soup is an American Pop-Punk band that formed in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1994 and is now based in Denton, Texas. Their unique brand of hooked filled pop punk music has gained popularity worldwide with songs like “High School Never Ends,” “Punk Rock 101,” “1985” and the Grammy nominated “Girl All The Bad Guys Want.”
In the 1990's, Bowling For Soup found their niche during a time when the music industry was undergoing significant changes. Starting as small town guys with nothing else to do, they formed a band to keep themselves out of trouble. Influenced by 80's John Hughes Movies, LA Hair Metal, Steve Martin comedy routines (which inspired their name), and hook-laden punk rock, BFS quickly gained momentum by simply having a good time.
Over the years, Bowling For Soup has achieved numerous milestones including successful tours in the UK such as "How About Another Round Tour" and their first ever arena tour alongside Steel Panther. They have also headlined major festivals like Slam Dunk Festival and embarked on their biggest ever UK tour culminating in a headline show at London's Brixton Academy. In addition to touring, they have released studio albums like Drunk Dynasty and acoustic live albums/DVDs such as Acoustic In A Freakin' English Church and Older, Fatter, Still The Greatest Ever: Live From Brixton.
