Deep Purple

Deep Purple formed in England in 1968 and helped define hard rock’s heavier, more adventurous edge. Early albums like Shades of Deep Purple and In Rock set the pace, while Machine Head and the live Made in Japan caught the band at full power. Their catalogue also reaches into progressive and psychedelic rock.
