Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known by his stage name Eminem or Slim Shady, is an American rapper and record producer. Born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri, he grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Eminem began his music career as a member of Soul Intent alongside Proof in 1992. In the same year, he also founded his first record label called Mashin' Duck Records with his group.

Eminem's unique style and controversial lyrics have made him one of the most influential figures in hip-hop. With multiple Grammy Awards and countless chart-topping hits under his belt, he has become a household name worldwide.
