Gina X Performance is a German electro-disco group formed in Cologne in 1978. Led by charismatic vocalist and lyricist Gina Kikoine, the band released three albums between 1979 and 1981, including the cult classic "No G.D.M." Their music has been featured on various compilations and remains popular among fans of electro/synthcore.
The core members of Gina X Performance were Gina Kikoine and Zeus B. Held, who served as writer-producer-musician for the group. They achieved success with their club hit single "No G.D.M.", which gained popularity on both sides of the Atlantic. The band's second single, "Nice Mover", also became a favorite among listeners.
In addition to their own releases, Gina X Performance contributed to the Andrew Weatherall compilation "Nine O'Clock Drop". Despite disbanding after their fourth album in 1984, the group's unique blend of arthouse electro-disco continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
