Koehler

Pianist and lyricist, Koehler was born on July 14, 1894 in Washington, D.C. He was most active from the 1920s to the 1940s and is known for writing the lyrics to many classic songs such as "Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea" (1931), "Stormy Weather" (1933) and "Let's Fall In Love" (1933). Collaborating frequently with composer Harold Arlen, Koehler left a lasting impact on the music industry.

In recognition of his contributions, Ted Koehler was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972. His talent as both a pianist and lyricist cemented his place among music legends.
