Pat Metheny

Pat Metheny was playing with leading Kansas City jazz musicians by 15, after switching from trumpet to guitar at 12. His 1975 debut Bright Size Life announced a fresh jazz guitar voice, shaped by his time with Gary Burton and a style that brought horn-like phrasing to deep rhythmic and harmonic fluency.
