Stockholm Monsters

Stockholm Monsters was a band from Burnage, Manchester, founded in the summer of 1980. The core members included vocalist Tony France, bassist Ged Duffy, and drummer Shan Hira. They were signed to Factory Records and worked closely with Peter Hook of New Order. Their unique name was inspired by David Bowie's Scary Monsters album and a pleasant-sounding Eurocity. Other members included Lita Hira on keyboards, Lindsay Anderson on trumpet, Karl France, and John Rhodes. After several successful releases, the band sadly split up in 1987.
