The Durutti Column began in Manchester in 1978, but quickly became the singular vehicle for Vini Reilly. Closely tied to Factory in its formative years, the project made a quiet, unmistakable mark with records such as The Return of The Durutti Column, pairing post-punk and new wave roots with Reilly’s distinctive, lyrical guitar playing.
