11 Short Stories of Pain and Glory

11 Short Stories of Pain and Glory is the ninth studio album from Dropkick Murphys, arriving in 2017 as their first studio release in four years. It debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200, giving the band their second highest chart debut after Going Out in Style.

The record is shaped in part by the band’s work with The Claddagh Fund, the charity they established in 2009 to support addiction recovery, alongside children’s and veterans’ organisations. That sense of purpose runs through the album without losing the grit and heart that define Dropkick Murphys.

“4-15-13” stands as a tribute to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, many of whom the band came to know personally in the aftermath.
