A brilliant milestone in the early days of Japanese rock music. Sadistic Mika Band, a rare rock band formed by Kazuhiko Kato. The band's genre-defying creativity and performance quality, which won them worldwide acclaim, are still fresh even today. This May 5 marks the 50th anniversary of the band's debut in 1972 and the release of their first album Sadistic Mika Band on May 5, 1973. (Their debut was the single "Cycling Boogie/Aurora Girl" released on June 21, 1972.) From 1973 to 1976, three original albums and one live album all from the first period when MIKA was the vocalist are picked up.
