A Wah Dat / Dub Dat

A little-known original from Junior Dread, recorded at The Black Ark with Scratch in the mid 70s. He only cut two tunes there, which makes this all the more special for anyone drawn to the deeper corners of reggae history.

It’s a killer, left-field DJ vocal cut with that unmistakable Upsetter feel running through it, backed by matching dubwise from The Upsetters. A proper Black Ark artefact, full of atmosphere, pressure and the kind of sideways magic Scratch could summon so effortlessly.
