On their debut full-length album, Alexoneworld, Austin, TX’s Alexalone introduced a warm, heavy style of atmospheric rock that ushers you into fuzzy, lonely spaces, then shocks you alive with pulsing energy. The album was critically acclaimed upon release with FADER, MTV News, Paste, and them, who compared the group’s sound to “a more sinister Sonic Youth jam session.”

On the band’s sweeping sophomore album, Alexalomne Technical Research, Alexalone expands their sound with jarring and intricate rhythms, while at the same time introducing incredibly lush shoegaze soundscapes that are at times both dissonant and cohesive.
