New release on Flogging Molly's Borstal Beat label. The Drowning Men deliver a record bristling with taut energy and melodies enough to win over any self-respecting music lover. Formed in 2006 by long-time friends Nathan "Nato" Bardeen, James Smith, and Rory Dolan, the three quickly recruited Todd Eisenkerch and Gabriel Messer to round out the line-up. After self-releasing their first EP, 'Kill The Matador', in 2007, the band then went into the studio with Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession, Ugly Casanova) to record their first LP - 'The Beheading Of The Songbird' - which was self-released that year and then officially re-released in the USA by Borstal Beat Records.
