Rock moves forward on two things: the rehearsal room and the art school. On their debut album All Your Pets Revived, Bunker 2 take an almost mathematical approach to rhythm. The guitars would rather count than scream. Every figure sits where it was drawn in. Two poles that rarely alloy meet here: the melody of the Swedish west coast and the nervous geometry of the American east coast. Commercially viable avant-garde with glossy surfaces; Nordic indie in full hi-fi. The opening is metal and sea air. The heart is iris and concrete. The bass lingers like a drone: musk and vetiver, a trace of petrol. It smells expensive without smelling good. A debut album can be a promise or a proof. All Your Pets Revived is the latter.
