On their debut LP, Gradience smash together apocalyptic, sludgy blackened death metal and dark urban trap-rap, then push things further with emotive, intimate vocals, glacial synths and hypnotic detail. It is a bold collision of sounds, but one grounded in something real and deeply human.

In 2022, guitarist Jakob Harris and vocalist Gavin Mistry met at a Copenhagen show for local deathcore heroes Cabal and quickly found an instant creative spark. Coming from different worlds, Jakob as a visual artist and musician in “a popcore band”, Gavin through “different hip-hop constellations”, they found common ground in new territory both were eager to explore.
