Answers

Longtime friends Bibio and Dorian Concept come together for Answers, a collaborative instrumental album due October 16th. After more than a decade of friendship, this feels like a natural next step, building on Bibio’s rework of Hide in 2024 and An Unopened Letter, the closing track on Dorian Concept’s Miniatures from 2025.

Much of the record took shape remotely, with ideas exchanged between Wales and Austria, matching both artists’ solitary, process-led way of working. Bibio brings his tactile blend of folk, ambient and lo-fi tape warmth, while Vienna’s Dorian Concept adds fluid keyboards, synth improvisation and a restless electronic touch.

The pair also shaped the album’s visual world together, creating video and artwork inspired by vintage cameras and visual play. The result is a richly textured instrumental record that sounds less like a first collaboration and more like two distinct voices meeting in a shared language.
