Arrows Studio in 57C Windward Road, East Kingston, Jamaica had a reputation for producing dub plates and tough, hard hitting, digital dancehall reggae rhythms before the advent of downloads. Artists such as Major Mackerel (cover), Pan Head, (back cover), Lady Shabba (next page), Captain Barkey (this page) and many young aspiring artists would hang out in the studio’s yard all day in the hope that they may get called upon to record a tune or audition their latest song.
