Melys’s first session release from a collection of 11 BBC sessions. Sleeve notes written by BBC radio presenter Huw Stephens. Melys are an indie band from Betwys-Y-Coed in Wales. Formed in 1996, they sing in both English and Welsh and became virtually synonymous with John Peel's BBC Radio 1 programme in its later years - recording eleven sessions for the show on Radio 1. They were number one in the Peel Festive Fifty in 2001 and won Best Welsh-language Act at the Welsh Music Awards in 2002.
