Bikini Daze

MØ became a global name in 2015 through Lean On, her collaboration with Major Lazer and DJ Snake. The track hit number one in more than 10 countries and, by November 2015, had become Spotify’s most streamed song, passing a billion plays.

But this was no overnight breakthrough. MØ had been building her world for years, first inspired by the Spice Girls, then drawn toward punk in her teens, with Sonic Youth as a key influence.

Her career began with the EP Bikini Daze, created with Diplo of Major Lazer and Ronni Vindahl, known for work with Avicii and Kendrick Lamar. Praised for pushing at pop’s edges, these four tracks introduced an artist still making sharp, inventive indie and electronic pop.
