Black Whip is a real Acid Jazz-era gem, first released in 1991 and now finally getting its first official reissue on 7-inch vinyl. It is a great snapshot of a vibrant moment in Black British music, full of energy, groove and character.

Produced by Colin “Chapter” Thorpe, whose credits include A Guy Called Garald’s Voodoo Ray, Urban Cookie Collective and Lemn Sissay, and featuring vocals from Aniff “The Verse” Akinola, this is a welcome return for a much-loved cut.
