Blank Generation

Consistently heralded as one of the most influential punk albums of all time, Richard Hell and The Voidoid’s Blank Generation is a sneering and vastly more punk-leaning take on the sound of Television and early Talking Heads. The leering vocals, obscenity and anger evident provide the punk half of the equation, with guitar work with an artier approaches of the proto-New Wave. The end result is an album which manages to form a bridge between proto-punk and post-punk.
