Blitz 1979–80

This Zine compiles the raw, foundational street and club photography of Derek Ridgers.  It captures the fashion - forward crowd that gathered at the weekly Tuesday club night hosted by Steve Strange and Rusty Egan and the Blitz Wine Bar in Covent Garden. The scene rejected mainstream culture and post punk conformity, giving rise to legendary figures like Boy George and Spandau Ballet.
