The Be Good Tanyas’ landmark debut Blue Horse returns in a 25th-anniversary vinyl edition via Birthday Cake Records. Recorded in Vancouver in 2000 on next to no budget, the trio of Frazey Ford, Trish Klein, and Samantha Parton turned old-time, folk, and country-blues into something spooky, intimate, and entirely their own — and rode CBC airplay from an independent release to an international audience. 

A quarter-century on, this is a living catalogue, not a nostalgia item. Cut from newly prepared 2026 vinyl masters, this single-LP edition returns Blue Horse to print on vinyl for the first time in 15 years.
