Book Of Carols

Late Music presents Book of Carols by Sarah Davachi, a collection of longform music for any season and a companion piece to The Will of Tongues.

This extensive box set includes Long Dance Vale, commissioned by The Broad Museum in LA; Diptych, commissioned by Sonic Acts Biennial for viola and telescopic aulos; Basso Continuo, commissioned by Ghost Ensemble; Double Reeds, for Hammond organ and tape, with film by Dicky Bahto; Three Unisons for Four Voices, commissioned by No Hay Banda; and Brass Chant, commissioned by The Museum of Modern Art in NYC.

Book of Carols follows Davachi’s 2026 solo album The Will of Tongues, described by NPR as “a beautiful exercise in tension and release”, and Electronic Sound as “an absorbing and enriching journey where time becomes elastic.”
