Changes

The ex-Five Stairsteps member Keni Burke had major success with the classic 1982 album, Changes. The album was recorded at the legendary Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia and contains Burke s best-known solo single: the sleek yet funky Risin to the Top. The song has been sampled by major artists ranging from neo-soul singer Mary J. Blige on her #5 R&B hit Love No Limit in 1992, to rapper Doug E. Fresh on his single Keep Risin to the Top in 1988 and rapper LL Cool J on his 1990 hit Around the Way Girl. Changes includes energetic dance-funk grooves like Can t Get Enough (Do It All Night), the title track, All Night and the single Shakin as well as romantic ballads and slow jams such as One Minute More and Who Do You Love.
