Hudson Mohawke's third album, Cry Sugar, further dives into the maximalist sound the producer has developed on previous works. Inspired by apocalyptic film scores and soundtracks, Mohawke's record serves as its own soundtrack to life and chaos in 2022. Despite the connotations, Cry Sugar remains optimistic in its own right with Mohawke's ability to vibrantly fuse together jazz, prog rock and more.
