Ariwa Sounds began in a front room in Thornton Heath, South London in 1980: four tracks, homemade equipment, and Neil Fraser, better known as Mad Professor, at the controls. More than four decades on, the label has released over 300 albums and built a legacy that reaches far beyond reggae.

This compilation gathers twelve cuts from across the Ariwa catalogue, moving through dub, lovers rock, heavy roots and digital dancehall. What holds it all together is that unmistakable Ariwa studio touch, with everything shaped through Mad Professor’s desk.
