One of the crown jewels of Dutch pop music in general, and of Excelsior Recordings in particular, is Daryll-Ann Weeps. Recorded in 1996 at Rijksweg 1 in Weesp, this is the very album for which the term cult classic might well have been invented. It contains everything: anger, sorrow, beauty, solace, the timeless ingredients of true art, distilled into sixteen brilliant songs. Thirty years after its creation, there is every reason to bring this masterpiece back into circulation as part of the RE: series.
