Dippin' (Tone Poet)

A benchmark album in Hank Mobley’s superb mid-1960s output, Dippin’ featured the great tenor saxophonist in a quintet with Lee Morgan on trumpet, Harold Mabern Jr. on piano, Larry Ridley on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums for a six-song set spanning boogaloo, bossa nova, ballads, and bop.

This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
