London producer patten delivers his debut album for Warp, his second LP and first full-length since 2011's strangely psychedelic trip 'GLAQJO XAACSSO'. This new album seems set to turn avant-garde experimentalism and pop sheen on their heads in ever stranger permutations. First track to emerge 'Drift' is a piece of highly textured electronics, silken pop intertwined with cracking rhythms and hits of noisy abstraction.
