Feel The Wind

Recorded in 1988, Feel The Wind unites two jazz giants, Art Blakey and Freddie Hubbard, for a powerful and inspired session with The Jazz Messengers. From the opening moments, Hubbard ignites the band with his commanding tone and electrifying trumpet work, delivering some of his most expressive playing of the era. The album features a standout Messengers lineup including Javon Jackson, Benny Green and Leon Dorsey. Thisedition also includes two bonus tracks “Piano Trio Medley” and “Big Foot” from a 1985 trio session featuring Hubbard  and Blakey pairing with Mulgrew Miller and Lonnie Plaxico.

The sleeve contains newly written liner-notes by Wim and Ria Wigt. Feel The Wind is part of the enduring 50th year legacy of the Dutch Timeless Records label and carries the 50th year sticker on the plastic seal.
