First Album

Released in 2001 on International Deejay Gigolos, the era defining classic First Album. The central preoccupations of First Album are apparent in the first track, 'Life on MTV'. The modern cult of fame is ripped open and frankly discussed over a turbo-charged italian disco track. The infamous original version of 'Frank Sinatra' follows, with its cynical account of modern club culture, as caroline intones the chorus. The classic, '1982', which caused a stir round europe in 1997 and led to rotation on German MTV is also included on the album. Every line refers to an eighties pop classic, reminding us of those records that define the era. The cultural reference points end up triggering mental samples of more youthful days.
