With fugue — ecliptical, sone deploys precise, starkly cut beats that are positioned as an index to arrangements that have become abraded by repetition, refracted and then withdrawn. Vocals surface sparingly, delivered almost evasively before sudden breaks in composure.

The result is a listening experience that feels at once fugitive yet coruscating at its edges, internally restrained, never fully revealing its centre.
