Futuremembrance

In the world of metal, the fusion of thrash and death metal is a true "perfect match" - especially when executed with skill and enthusiasm. Drill Star Autopsy from Eisleben delivers exactly that on their album 'Futuremembrance'. The opening track "Veil Of Madness" impresses with melody and vocal arrangements, while the title track introduces industrial influences reminiscent of Fear Factory. Two interludes slightly disrupt the album's flow, but overall it remains strong. Highlights include cover versions of Killing Joke and Napalm Death - the latter turning a four-second original into a dark, fitting album closer. Altogether, the band proves themselves to be one of the strongest underground metal acts in the South Harz region, right alongside Zero Degree. A slot at the Bockwood Festival would be well-deserved.
