Glowing Embers (Collected Psychedelic Beats 1993–97) is a vital vinyl-era snapshot of Dark Globe’s early run, collecting key recordings from 1993 to 1997 as Matt Frost and Pete Diggens carved out their own space between club music and psychedelic listening.

First released on their own Violent Drum imprint before a move to Hard Hands via Leftfield, these are instinctive, hands-on productions: drum machines, samplers and synths played live to tape, with movement, tension and a real human feel in every groove.

The dancefloor edge comes through in Mondo Scuro, Silver Surfer (Ambience Mix), The Ascendor and Def Hedd Disco, while Glowing Embers Part 1 and 2, Mantra Parts 5 and 6 and Andrew Weatherall’s Two Lone Swordsmen mix of Take Me to the Sound head somewhere deeper and more transportive.
