For their eighth album, Daily Thompson returned to Seattle to record with Tony Reed, as they did for Chuparosa. You can hear and feel the damp American Northwest and its musical history in every groove: subtly grungy, alternative, melodic and melancholy, yet still rough-edged.
With Glue, the band bring in new influences without losing their identity. The dual vocals of Danny Zaremba and Mercedes Lalakakis remain a highlight, while the songwriting balances atmosphere, emotion and a strong sense of melody.
