Hearts is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an expanded edition produced by Sir George Martin. The album features hits such as "Sister Golden Hair," "Daisy Jane," and "Woman Tonight." This special edition includes five previously unissued studio bonus tracks and the CD debut of "Sister Golden Hair" in Spanish ("Con Tu Pelo Tan Dorado").

New liner notes by Joe Marchese, with interviews with founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, provide insight into the album. Beckley and Bunnell have always taken the art of the album seriously, with Beckley stating, "We loved the exercise of making an album," and expressing his love for Hearts. Bunnell reflects on the album being a turning point in their success.
