Two excellent sets are issued here, both Blue Note original recordings - the vinyl is Hub Tones only. Hubbard's quintet is second to none - among the stars sending these recordings into orbit are Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Philly Joe Jones and Reggie Workman. With line ups of this quality it is no surprise that these albums continue to be rapturously received over fifty years later.
