Very little is known about this long-lost gem from the outskirts of the Commonwealth, but what we do know is that its real beauty sits within. Extradition’s sole album, Extradition, was released in a small run on local independent label Sweet Peach in 1971.
It remains one of the sharpest acid folk statements made outside the UK. Formerly a three-piece, Extradition wrestled with personal behaviour while building a rural setup shaped by the ‘think green’ revolution.
Whether you hear the English folk revival or West Coast flower power, this album offers its own headspace, removed from the chaotic suburbs of the counterculture and grounded in something quieter, more reflective, and wholly distinctive.
