Don Fardon 3CD Set is a comprehensive collection of 81 tracks, including the hit song Indian Reservation, which reached #3 in the UK in 1970 and became a global million seller. The set also includes Fardon's tribute to footballer Georgie Best, Belfast Boy, and the club favorite I'm Alive, recorded in 1969 and peaking at #12 in the independent singles chart in 2010.
This collection features numerous tracks previously unreleased on CD, such as Fardon's debut solo single, It's Been Nice Lovin' You (1967 version) and B side, I Won't Be Long. Additionally, the set includes the half live/half studio album, Don Fardon & The Gang On Tour In Scandinavia, recorded in 1970.
Eight never commercially issued tracks from the BBC World Service program Top Of The Pops are also included, featuring recordings of Indian Reservation, Belfast Boy, and a cover of The Beatles' Back In The USSR.
Don Fardon first gained fame as the singer of Coventry's cult freakbeat legends, The Sorrows. Although The Sorrows are not covered in this box set, Fardon's solo versions of their songs, such as Take A Heart and Let The Live Live, are included.
The collection spans Fardon's singles from 1967 to 1974, featuring hits like Indian Reservation, Belfast Boy, I'm Alive, The Letter, Gimme Gimme Good Lovin', Treat Her Right, Don't Do That, and more. All tracks from albums such as The Lament Of The Cherokee Indian (1968), The Love Story Of Don Fardon (1969), I've Paid My Dues (1970), Released (1970), and I'm Alive (1970) are also included in this set.
