In Another Lifetime: A Collection of Poems

In Another Lifetime is a time-travelling collection of 32 poems by Irish singer songwriter Ryan Hennessy. This hardback, collectable edition reproduces Hennessy’s original handwritten pages in full colour, with each poem presented in English alongside Irish translations by Póilín Rainsford.

A foreword comes from Ryan’s friend and neighbour, Allen Dalili. Every poem begins with the same opening line, “In another lifetime”, then heads somewhere different, moving through heartbreak and comfort, from Sicily to Kansas City.

As Ryan Hennessy puts it: “Although each poem sets off from the same place, they all find their way from a multitude of stories and experiences... I surmise that one may refer to these poems as a collection of romantic imaginings, but I would like to go on record as to say they are a collection of cosmic happenings.”
