Invisible Threads

For more than 50 years, visionary percussionist and composer Adam Rudolph has built a singular practice from improvisation, deep listening, and cultural exchange. Long collaborations with spiritual jazz greats Don Cherry, Yusef Lateef, and Pharoah Sanders helped shape the open-ended philosophy behind Invisible Threads.

At its core is a shifting sound world led by Rudolph’s live electronic processing, alongside Danish bassist and sound artist Jesper Pedersen and New York-based, classically trained Italian guitarist Marco Cappelli, whose circuit-bending approach adds another layer of motion and texture.

Recorded in Türkiye, the album features Okay Temiz on bells, toys, found objects, and handcrafted instruments; celebrated Sufi ney player Hacı Tekbilek; plus Özlem Kaya, Sıla Gerbağ, and Sumru Ağıryürüyen. Together they make music that feels open, human, and beautifully unbound by genre.
